If this turns out to be accurate, it would be encouraging news indeed.
We can only hope that the [prematurely halted] excursion against Hamas had the effect this commentator suggests.
Olmert is a weak leader without strong military sensibilities. The sooner he is out the sooner the military be allowed to do its job.
