The above cartoon of former President Jimmy Carter appears in the Brandeis University student newspaper. Brandeis hosted Carter recently.

Our former president refused to participate in a debate there with Alan Dershowitz, who instead spoke at a separate campus event.

It is sad that an ineffective President, but a once admired man of moral conviction, will spend his last years irrelevant and ridiculed. Is it age, diet, ill health that has caused his neurons to begin firing in strange, illogical ways? Who can say? Alas, the peanut farmer has become the peanut brained, and it is sad and maybe even a bit unfair that one's good work is lost behind one's bad.

Larry,

You did it again...you have created a wonderful Soundbite yourself:
"[T]he peanut farmer has become peanut brained..."

That is worth remembering.
Bravo Larry!
