He's not ABC's news chief, he is their chief investigative reporter. What he says is that he believes the reports of CIA agents that make this claim. He says that some of them are even against the coersive measures used, as if this connotes more believability. It does not. It may mean nothing more than an agency, whose investigative blunders failed to stop either of the attacks on the World Trade Center, and failed to accurately portray the Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, thus leading us into a war supposedly to protect us from these devastating yet nonexistent weapons, may just wish to prove it is not an ineffective and irrelevant dinosaur in the 21st Century. Because Ross does not give any evidence for the certainty of his beliefs, it is left up to faith, that he is being accurate. I will put my faith in G-D, but see no reason to do so for investigative reporters who do not list their evidence, or for CIA operatives who have a seriously lacking track record.

I hope in the interest of thorough mideast coverage, you will be providing excerpts of the many articles that announced the news that american intelligence sources said the iraq war worsened the threat of terrorism around the world. And has helped spawn a new generation of islamic radicalism. All over the news---unless you only watched FOX in which case you won't know about this story at all.
